Connecting classrom practice and teacher education
Inductive approaches to teaching science and mathematics is an Erasmus+ project bringing together partners from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.
Our aim is to support teaching in which learners explore questions, work with evidence, recognise patterns and develop understanding. We connect practical classroom experience with expertise in science and mathematics education.
Who is the project for?
The project supports school teachers, teacher educators and university academics interested in inductive approaches to science and mathematics education.
Our resources are designed to support classroom teaching, professional reflection and the preparation of future teachers. They can also provide a starting point for discussion and didactic analysis in university courses and seminars.
From principles to practice
The project’s resources connect methodological guidance with examples of teaching and learning:
Two teaching guides exploring inductive approaches in science and mathematics.
Six classroom videos and a companion didactic booklet supporting observation, analysis and reflection.
Sample tasks in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology for classroom use and discussion in teacher education.
Resources are being made available in English, czech, slovak and polish.
